Since 1983, Schweizer has built the Hughes-designed Model 269 three-seat light helicopter and the 269C, also known as the Schweizer 300C, was an improved version with a 190 hp Lycoming HIO-360-D1A engine and higher 2,050 lb gross weight. Designed for ease of maintenance, the 269C, with its wide cockpit, has been a favourite choice for training schools.
